Our Approach
Over the past several months, we have visited exceptional single-origin coffee farms and partnered with a highly respected specialty coffee roaster. Our goal is simple: produce outstanding Colombian coffee while creating a sustainable source of income that supports lives being transformed through Teen Challenge Colombia!

Quindío
One of our partner farms is located in the world-famous Quindío coffee region, an area celebrated for producing some of Colombia’s finest specialty coffees.
The region’s rich volcanic soil, high elevations, and ideal climate create exceptional flavor profiles enjoyed around the world.
Cauca
Our second farm is located in the mountains of Cauca, across the valley from a former World Cup of Coffee winning farm.
This region tells a powerful story of redemption. Once affected by guerrilla control and illicit crop production, many farmers have chosen a different future by replacing drug crops with high-quality specialty coffee. Every purchase helps support hardworking farming families who are building a better future through honest work.

Building Our Own Coffee Farm
Selling coffee is only the beginning.
At Teen Challenge Colombia, we are already preparing for the future by selecting premium coffee seeds and establishing our own greenhouse.
Because our future farm sits at approximately 6,000 ft. above sea level, it is important that every coffee plant begins its life at that elevation. Starting seedlings in our own greeenhouse allows the young plants to adapt naturally to the climate and altitude, reducing transplant shock and giving them the strongest possible start.
Both of the farms we are partnering with have agreed to supply us with high-quality seeds, allowing us to build our own farm using proven coffee varieties from some of Colombia’s best producers.

Launching this project requires startup capital to purchase green coffee, transport it to our specialty roaster, package it, and prepare it for sale.
